This was AMAZING thank you so much! I have saved fic I love on dropbox and I read the epubs using Aldiko on my phone, but actual organization was overwhelming. I've used calibre casually for years but this post finally got me to take the step of uploading copies of my fic to calibre and organizing them. Your step by step instructions were great!
One hurdle for me was updating older AO3 downloads, which lack metadata. When I tried "updating books" it kept failing, until I just marked it to update metadata only. I have hundreds of books and it is taking a while but SO WORTH IT.
